Running behind as usual

So, I know I promised there would be another page to the 50 moments challenge, however, I have been crazy busy these days buying a house, and I have been put on light duty from my doctor. Everything is totally fine with baby, but with my previous pregnancies at around the same time, I have started to threaten pre term labor. This time, it's not the case, but the doc says that I have to take it easy, or I will be on bed rest. And that is just evil! So, bear with me, there definately will be more to come with the challenge, but I have decided that until I am settled into my new house, there will not be a time line set on the challenges. It will just be a surprise! So, there you go, I promise it will come soon, but until then, you will just have to wait!

Cheers!

Crazy Exciting News Amongst Poor Baby Madness...

So, I am totally stoked today, because we put an offer on a house a couple days ago, and THEY ACCEPTED IT!!! We found out today that we have our mortgage approved, so all we have to do now is get a home inspection, and we can remove subjects and it's ours!!!!!!!!! It's our first home, so I'm very excited!! We're also living 45 minutes out of town right now with my mother in law (don't get me wrong, she's great) but it's just living with ANYONE else that can grate on your nerves after long enough. Being out of town isn't for us either, we're in town aaalll the time. So I was super excited that I found a house in town, in a great area for walking and really close to the church that we would like to go to (where I already go to a mom's group) as well. We get to take possession on February 26th!! I can't wait!! We probably won't move in right away, because we're staying with my mother in law to help her out over the winter, so we'll probably just slowly move our stuff in and unpack, then when spring comes, we'll be all ready to go! It's been a crazy few days getting all the paperwork and all that done, and it came at such a bad time for my youngest son, because on January 2nd, while I was cropping it up, he started puking, and hasn't stopped since! I was in the hospital all day with him today, because he hasn't been able to even keep water down. He's okay, and he didn't have to have an IV or anything, which was nice, but they did bloodwork to make sure everything was working as it should be, and tested for a bladder infection, and it's all good...it's just a loooong lasting stomach flu as far as anyone can tell. He hasn't thrown up since this morning, so that's a good sign, and I'm crossing my fingers for no more! So needless to say between the excitement of buying our first house, and my little baby (who's going to be 1 on the 21st!) being so sick, I'M EXHAUSTED!! I was in need of some retail therapy tonight, so I couldn't help stopping by Creative Accents tonight to do some shopping. It's so crazy, because even when I think that there couldn't possibly be anything that I need there (because I really need Scrapbooking stuff (all you fellow addicts out there know what I'm talking about! lol) I see something that I haven't seen before (even though it's been there for a while) and I have to have it! lol So, to make a long story even longer, I bought some paper and stamps and shiny stuff and hopefully I'll get a chance to play with it all in the near future! I definately see a thank you card for my realtor in the future!

Snow Day!

It was so nice to get out and scrap for 12 hours straight last weekend, that I became totally inspired to get more creating done in the following days...I don't have a whole lot of completed projects, as I've still been practicing with my Copics, and my youngest son has had the stomach flu since Saturday and hasn't been able to keep water down until today, so I've been a little busy and had to put the scrapping on the sidelines. My husband and I also just put an offer on a house today, so I'm super excited about that, and I'm crossing my fingers that they accept it!!! I did manage to finish that last double page layout I was working on at the crop this weekend, so I'll share it with you!

Now, I did write down all the info on this page when I brought it in to Creative Accents, but now I totally forget which PP it was, all I know is that it's called "Frosted" and it's awesome! It's got some great strips on the back that I used (the pic of the snowman on the right is part of those strips) and basically everything else on that page is from that one piece of PP! The dark blue cardstock is American Crafts and I used the Versa Mark Frost on it and just rubbed it on to make it look kind of...well...Frosty! lol I used the QK Zelda alphabet, and also the QK snowman and snowflake. I had originally wanted to put a 2x2 snowflake in the middle of the page with a really cool sparkly brad, but then I realized that I would have to chop the brad in half, as it's a double pager! lol So I opted for the revolution snowflake instead and just make it with really cool blingy sparkly blue paper instead! I almost forgot, I also used the QK rectangle journaling square (I just cut it out twice and pieced it together so it would be bigger) If you haven't noticed by now, I'm a bit of a Quickutz junky! lol So there it is, the cutest (well, they're all the cutest aren't they?!) pics of my son this year! lol I hope you enjoy!

PS: I just applied for a spot on the Dixie Pieces Design Team! Wish me luck! I love their site, they are a great source of inspiration, they have a wicked monthly kit, and they also have a great Gallery full of amazing art! you can check them out here: http://dixiepieces.com

That's all for now! Hopefully the next time I post, I will be the proud new owner of our very own home!!

Cheers!

New Year, Renewed Challenge!

So it's a new year, and I think for me it's definitely time for some new inspiration (or renewed inspiration!) So, as promised, I am starting the Lisa Bearnson challenge to scrapbook what's most important. Every week there will be a new page inspired from her book "50 Moments: Scrapbook what matters most" This week's was Words to Live By. For this page I wanted to make it about my favourite quotes that I try to live my life by. I'm not sure the journaling came out very clear in the pic, so here it is: "If you are around me long enough, you will often hear me say "life takes care of itself", "If it's meant to be, it will happen", or "What will stressing out about it accomplish? Nothing! So don't do it!" If you haven't noticed by my fav quotes, that I like to live life as it comes, and be as stress free as possible!"

Living that way is way easier said than done, but I try to follow my own philosophies!

The paper I used was Bo Bunny, and I used some QK for the fonts and photo corners. I tried for the first time (and fell in love with) Tim Holtz Grunge board! I inked them with some red ink, then put brown sparkles over top, and I love them! hehe There will be a new page every week for 47 more weeks!

I had a lot of fun yesterday at the Crop at Creative Accents, and probably too much fun, because I got a very unimpressive amount of creating in! In 12 hours, I made 1 single layout, started (but didn't finish) a double page layout, and made 1 card! But it was my first time playing with my new Copics that my husband got me for Christmas! I am learning that I SUCK at coloring! lol I made a card with the Copics (my first card using Copics). The stamp is the Cupcake Diva from Stamping Bella, and the papers I used where from the Basic Grey Nook and Pantry collection, which I didn't think too much of when I saw it online, but when I saw it in person, I bought the whole collection! It's the cutest paper!!

So, there it is! I've finally posted some new creations! I hope you enjoy them! I plan on keeping it up this time too! Who knows what I'll get into tonight, but maybe I'll finish that second LO and have something new for you tomorrow! (no promises though! lol)

Thanks for checking out my little neck of the web!
