3 Wild and Crazy Kids

I just love this pic of Ethan and his cousins! It totally shows off their personalities!! I'm still on the Tim Holtz kick, and to be perfectly honest, I don't think I'll be over it any time soon!

To frame this pic, I put a few brush strokes of acrylic paint by making memories, then I added a few strokes of Distress Crackle Paint in Old Paper, after it dried, I rubbed a few colors of Distress Inks into the cracks. I love how it changes the color of the Crackle Paint!

For the 3, I cut out a piece of patterned paper from Tim Holtz (it was a star in a circle) then I painted it with the Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint, then inked over it once dry again. Then I matted it with a bigger circle and added the 3 on top. The 3 was cut out using the Zelda font from Quickutz. I love that font! However, I love all fonts! I have a slight addiction to alphabets! LOL

Thanks for taking the time to check out my little neck o' the web!
CheerS!

Ice Cream!!!

Do you ever feel like your laundry pile is going to take on a life of it's own and attack you?! lol I know it's totally off subject, but I was just in my laundry room and after doing laundry now for like 4 days straight, I'm not seeing much of an end in sight! *sigh* I guess that's what happens when you have 3 little messy kids! lol

On a brighter note, I guess this is why my laundry pile is growing and growing (I need to take some time for myself!)
I made this page the other night and for the life of me I can't remember which patterned paper I used, all I know is that I think I must've bought and used about 5 of the same pattern for different LO's and such! I just love it! It's too bad I can't remember what kind it is! lol I used both sides of it though...the sun and flourishes that our cut out are from the other side of that beautiful blue paper and the other pp's are just random scraps. I used my silhouette for the words (I was quite excited to have found the power cord for it after moving) I was starting to think I was going to have to contact Silhouette and order a new one! It was in a suit case...I guess I figured it would be a good place to put it so it wouldn't get lost...probably would've been if I would've remembered where I packed it!! lol Anyway, I stamped the top and bottom of the papers with a Close to My Heart stamp, and Distress Ink, and added a little bit of bling to the flowers, and viola! Ice Cream in Whistler! Ethan was sooo not into getting his picture taken at the time, but he looked so stinkin cute with ice cream all over his face, I just couldn't help myself! And there's even a pic of all of us (a nice guy in Whistler offered to take our family pic! How sweet!) I hate to think like this, but when people offer to take a pic like that, I can't help but think that they might be trying to steal my camera!! Isn't that horrible!?! I wish I could believe in the kindness of strangers more!! Anyway, hopefully I'll get a chance to do some more creating in the near future (if my two youngest ever decide they'd like to sleep again! lol)
Goodnight!!

I've been a little obsessed with Tim Holtz lately...

Here's a LO that I did the other day. I just love these pics of my oldest son Ethan, they're freakin adorable! I've been on a Tim Holtz bender lately, can you tell by the LO? lol I just love the new papers by Tim Holtz! The background for my LO is from one of the new paper packs, as well as the strip down the middle!

I used the Tim Holtz alphabet mask for the "Love", then I rubbed a little distress inks over it, then sprayed it with glimmer mist. Then just to finish it off, I added a little bling over the "letters"

I cut the gears out with the Tim Holtz Alterations Bigz die. I LOVE these dies because you can cut anything with them! I cut these out of some old clear packaging and then colored them with alcohol inks, then I added some gromlets to the inside, and viola! Gears! lol

This little bird was just cut out from some patterned paper I had lying around from a paper pack from K&Company, the Urban Rhapsody collection. I covered it with Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint, let it dry, then rubbed some Distress Inks over it, then rubbed that in, then the color just settles into the cracks...love that technique!

So, there it is, I hope you enjoy it (I sure had fun creating it!)

Cheers!
